Spiral

Spiral

2017

Installation consisting of three works created during a month stay in Keelung, Taiwan.

The neighbourhood of Tai Pin Elementary School is a tranquil place overlooking the city of Keelung. Here and around Keelung new inspiring images have influenced my continuous process. The spiral is a symbol that has been reoccurring in my ideas here in Taiwan. I find it everywhere; from the nature, the temple or the supermarket. The spiral's many possible meanings have to do with continuity and movement of some kind. In this exhibition the spiral shape in its natural form will interact with a room in Tai Pin Elementary school, using material found nearby.

Exhibition: Keelung Nights - Nordic Lights, Architect and Designer´s House (former Tai Pin Elementary School). Curated by Nina-Maria Oförsagd & Erica Yu-Wen Huang
