Emma Heiðarsdóttir is preoccupied with the spaces and structures that frame our everyday existence. Intuitively she goes into unknown territories where thought becomes intertwined with the materiality of spaces and objects. For her art cannot be seen apart from its surrounding. This attitude has inclined her to make site- specific works that often deal with the shifting boundaries between architecture and sculpture, art and life.
